Making the most of the final autumn days

What time do you think of if I ask you when you see autumn at its best? I imagine that October is the first thing that pops to mind... but personally, I find all the best colours of autumn tend to shine their brightest slightly later on in the season.

 In October, the leaves are generally a mix of 'mustard greens' and pale ambers, which is beautiful, but nowhere near as breathtaking as the magnificent golden, orange and brown hues that are found in November. 

So earlier on today, I grabbed my camera - which is way too technologically advanced for me to have a clue what I'm doing - and ran outside with the dog to get some lovely photos of autumn before all the leaves have blown away and we can officially start jumping up and down for joy at the prospect of snow and Christmas!
